View your first risk score

Every regulation that lands in ACE is scored against your workspace's licensed lines, geography, and existing controls. This guide explains how to read the score and what drives it.

Open the item

1. From the source feed (the page you reached at the end of Connect your first source), click any item title.
2. The item detail page opens with three sections: Summary, Risk, and Remediation.

Reading the score

The score is a number from 0 to 100 plus a tier label:

• Critical (80–100): immediate action required; existing controls likely do not meet the new requirement.
• High (60–79): action required within the current planning cycle.
• Medium (40–59): monitor; assign an owner for review.
• Low (0–39): informational; no action required at this time.

What drives the score

The Risk section breaks the score into four factors you can inspect and tune:

• Coverage match: which of your licensed lines or product types the rule applies to.
• Geographic overlap: whether your jurisdiction footprint intersects the rule's scope.
• Control coverage: how much of the rule's requirements you already satisfy (from past gap analyses and remediation evidence).
• Deadline pressure: time remaining until the rule's effective date, weighted by your renewal cycle.

Tuning the score for your workspace

From the item detail page, click Adjust score inputs to override any factor with a justification note. Overrides are logged and visible to Owners. The score recalculates immediately. Use this when the rule applies asymmetrically to a line of business you carry, or when a control you have implemented off-platform should count toward coverage.
